SCT 321—BEGINNINGS AND ENDINGS: How to Bookend a Coaching Call Well
2 classes, 4 hours
Instructor, Laura Stephens-Reed, PCC
For a client to get the most value from a coaching session, there must be a clear agreement established at the beginning of each call and a fully formed action plan at the end that hearkens back to that agreement. In this class we will explore in depth the various aspects of both bookends, the reasons why they are important, and different ways they might be expressed. We will also engage in coaching practice so that participants can get real-time feedback on their openings and closings. This course is open to all coaches and is particularly recommended for those working toward an ICF credential, as the two core competencies we'll focus on (3: establishes and maintains agreements and 8: facilitates client growth) are key to passing a performance evaluation.
