Fewer pastors, lay leaders, and churches need convincing the context in which we are church is changing. Everyone knows the world around us is rapidly transitioning to something different. What lags behind is our understanding of what’s driving the changes. In this learning experience, based on the popular book Shift: Three Big Moves For The 21st Century Church, participants gain more accurate understandings of our changing context. Over the last four years, many churches and their leaders have engaged this Making The Shift Process, moving forward with faithfulness plus relevance.
Now we are grateful to the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of Tennessee for partnering with us at Pinnacle Leadership Associates to bring this Making The Shift learning experience to East Tennessee. You are invited to join pastors, church staff, lay leaders, and the generally curious for a day focused on two outcomes:
First, learn about the Modern to Postmodern shift in our larger world, followed by three life giving shifts rising up in the Church in response: • Member Identity to Disciple Identity • Attractional Church to Missional Church • Consumer Church Culture to Sacred Partnering. Participants will come away from this experience with actionable direction in leading churches toward faithfulness and relevance in this 21st century context.
Second, participants will preview Pinnacle’s Making The Shift Process: one year of working with Pinnacle Leadership plus a group of other churches in a Community Of Practice from your community.
Presenters: Mark Tidsworth, Author of Shift and Pinnacle President and Ircel Harrison, Pinnacle’s Coaching Coordinator
