Whether you want to become an accredited coach or simply want to use coaching skills to be a better leader, SCT 101—INTRODUCTION TO COACHING will engage and empower you to make a difference in the lives of others.

The class is a learning community where people discover how to leverage their own experiences to bring out the best in others through thought provoking conversations.

During the Winter Term beginning in January, participants can choose either a daytime or evening class:

SCT 101: Introduction to Coaching with Ircel Harrison and Steve Roper—Tuesdays, 6:30 to 8:30 ET/5:30 to 7:30 CT, January 14 to March 4, 2025—16 hours.

SCT 101: Introduction to Coaching with Beth Kennett and Ircel Harrison—Thursdays, 11 to 1 ET/10 to Noon CT, January 9 to February 27, 2025—16 hours.

Participants will learn, as well as practice, basic skills in coaching based on the International Coaching Federation Core Competencies. Topics include ethical practices in coaching, developing a coaching presence, active listening, asking good questions, and cultivating client learning and growth. In-class and out-of-class peer coaching will be provided as part of the learning experience.

No prerequisite training required.
