The Effective Lead Pastor
SECOND WEDNESDAYS, 1:00-2:15, MARK TIDSWORTH & DAN HOLLOWAY
This Seminar is for pastors serving in the role of Lead Pastor, Senior Pastor, Head of Staff, or Rector. As you know, Pinnacle is all about leading churches through adaptive change, becoming greater expressions of themselves. At the same time, our experience says lead pastors must demonstrate their competence for serving in their role before their churches are willing to risk adaptive change with this pastor. Lead pastors must demonstrate effective Churchcraft, serving effectively in their roles. This seminar focuses on the core competencies of lead pastors, describing and pursuing effective leadership when one is called to this position in God’s Church. In this Seminar we will first explore Developing The Mindset of an Effective Lead Pastor, followed by pursuing these competencies:
Consistently Advancing the Mission and Vision
Strategy for Ongoing Developmental Progress of the Church
Developing the Staff Team
Developing the Lay Leadership Team
Pursuing Excellence in Worship Leadership
Leading the Church to Pursue Missional Movement
Proactively Pursuing Disciple Development
Clear Strategy of Disciple Care and Pastoral Care
Implementing Effective Stewardship and Fund Raising
Practicing Effective Conflict Management and Resolution
Effectively Stewarding Self
Proactive Community Engagement
Practicing Effective Crisis Management
Each Coaching Group will be an opportunity to collaborate with other Lead Pastors toward implementing what’s learned in the Seminar.
When you are ready to strengthen your ministry in the Lead Pastor role, come join us in this webinar and coaching group. Seasoned and beginning lead pastors are registering.
Mark Tidsworth and Dan Holloway lead this seminar. Our plan is to create the book or workbook used to support this seminar and coaching group this Summer. Dan served as pastor in every size congregation, followed by serving as lead pastor in the same church for 28 years. Mark has served a pastor in every size congregation, followed by coaching hundreds of lead pastors over the last 17 years.
