  • Some percentage of previous attenders are not returning to in person worship

  • Tension is rising around issues that seem inconsequential

  • Clergy and church staff are leaving their vocations in high numbers

  • Churches are downsizing their clergy and church staff positions toward part time

  • Denominations are scaling back services to their constituents and staff positions

  • People are joining churches, though not as often as before

  • Churches are demonstrating exceptional resilience
