Pinnacle Leadership Associates announces the launch of a new podcast for pastors and clergy
First Episode of “Pastor Life” Podcast Drops Today
Chapin, SC — February 15, 2021 — Pinnacle Leadership Associates announces the launch of a new podcast for pastors and clergy entitled “Pastor Life.” Hosted by Pinnacle Associates Rhonda Blevins and David Brown, the first season of “Pastor Life” will include eight episodes released weekly.
"What's it look like to be healthy and effective as our vocations change under our feet? We hear this question repeated frequently in our coaching and training with clergy and church staff," said Mark Tidsworth, founder and team leader at Pinnacle Leadership Associates. "This is why I'm so excited about this new podcast from these two energized, curious, and creative pastors on our team. Knowing them, these conversations will be intriguing, very relevant, and great fun."
Rhonda Blevins is the pastor of Chapel by the Sea in Clearwater Beach, Florida. She describes "Pastor Life" as “a conversation between friends over a cup of coffee.” According to Blevins, the broad topics of the podcast will include ministry, church, family and culture. "We want to strengthen our clergy community as we explore together the wild and wonderful world of being a pastor."
"Every time I sit down with Rhonda, I laugh, I learn something, and I walk away encouraged about life and ministry," said, David Brown, founding pastor of the Welcome Table in Rock Hill, South Carolina. "I hope other church leaders will lean into these conversations and will leave with something meaningful as well."
Examples of topics listeners will hear in season one of "Pastor Life" include: leading through times of disruption, dealing with Christian Nationalism within the church, Sabbath-keeping for busy pastors, gaining fresh perspective on interruptions in life and work, the value of ritual within faith communities, and creating a rule of life.
"We don't approach these topics as if we have all the answers," Blevins confessed. "We are fellow travelers seeking wisdom from one another as we navigate the joys and challenges of the pastoral calling."
"Nothing is off the table," said Brown. "We'll tackle topics we have some expertise and experience with and we'll probably take on some that we have no business talking about! And regardless - we'll talk about topics that matter and we'll have fun doing it."
